In 1972, Jim Williams started hauling freight with one truck and one trailer under the name of Interior Transport. It wasn't until 1979 - with the purchase of System Transport, a national flatbed carrier - that the company began operating under the System name. System has evolved into a coast-to-coast operation, providing service in the U.S. and Canada to:
